Sort by. best. level 1.One of the most beloved comic villains is the Joker (Batman’s long-standing nemesis). However, much more recently, people have been fascinated by a relatively new villain named Harley Quinn. The Joker and Harley Quinn aren’t a couple either. You might believe otherwise based on Suicide Squad, but the Joker isn’t as nice to Harley in the comics as he is in the new movie. The Joker and Harley Quinn are one of DC Comics' most well-known couples, and their relationship is traditionally deliberately portrayed as deeply unhealthy and tragic.
Harley Quinn And Joker In light of the upcoming PC release date for Batman: Arkham City (confirmed by WB to be November 22 for the US and various other dates for the rest of the world) - it's probably as good a time as any to remind the PC folks that yes - it is worth the wait if you don't have a 360 or PS3.
Hello Dr. Goodfriend, I am writing an evaluation essay on why Harley Quinn and Joker's relationship is bad, do you have any other information or expertise to share on this topic? I just wanted to.
The Joker succeeds as a villain because he is shrouded in mystery, and by contrast, Harley Quinn outstrips him because of the details that we do know about her. She transcends simply being a cracked personality or unstable mind. Dr. Quinzel built her life as a master of the human brain—the type of person who can crawl inside any given person’s psyche, make a home there and glue the pieces.
In time, Harley came to realize the Joker was holding her back, and she struck out on her own. She became an entrepreneur and a member of several slightly less-than-reputable super teams (including the Suicide Squad), Gotham City’s all-girl gang (the Gotham City Sirens) and a traveling sideshow. Along the way Harley has become one of the most popular super-villains in the DC Universe, thanks.
First I want to say before we really get into this Harley Quinn character analysis is that, Harley Quinn is not stupid (crazy, but not stupid), in fact she is a genius. In her new 52 origin she was the only one in her family to graduate from college, and she also got herself a Masters then Doctorate in Criminal Psychology (Amanda Waller herself has called Harley a genius).
The movie already had Margot Robbie attached as its star early on and is also expected to appear as Harley Quinn in a Joker and Harley Quinn team-up film at some point in the future, 'Suicide Squad 2' (which now appears to be less of a priority for the studio than it once appeared to be), and potentially a solo Harley movie, as well. The movie also sees Mary Elizabeth Winstead play Helena.

Introduced in the 1992 animated series, Quinn is the Joker's former Arkham psychiatrist who develops an obsessive infatuation with him and dons a red-and-black harlequin costume to join him in the 1999 graphic novel Batman: Harley Quinn. Although Quinn loves the Joker, he is obsessed with Batman and uses her to achieve his goals at her expense. Despite violent abuse, she returns to him.
Before Todd Phillips and Joaquin Phoenix unsettle audiences with Joker this Friday, we lay out the various origin stories throughout the character’s history, dating back to the comics in 1940.
Harley Quinn Season 2 Release Date Confirmed by DC Universe Harley Quinn Season 2 Trailer Revealed New Birds of Prey Behind-the-Scenes Photos Feature Margot Robbie, Cathy Yan, Ella Jay Basco, and More.
Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey is a story that gets Harley Quiinn as a character. It is part of why I absolutely loved this movie because it is about the damaged but enjoyable titular character forging her new life post-Joker. It has some flaws due to the premise, which I'll get into later, but these are minor issues. This is a solid film full of action, colorful characters, enjoyable.

Suicide Squad was a hot mess for so many reasons. The primary problem was the film's slapdash construction. From its painfully on-the-nose soundtrack to its multiple and redundant character intros, Suicide Squad went from a potentially entertaining antihero movie to a KFC Famous Bowl of dreck. Honest Trailers got brutally honest about the movie, but here's a much more in-depth video essay.
